I've had the chance of knowing Susan during and after her experience with homelessness.  In November when I was interviewed by Jeff Butera from Fox30 News in Hemming Park over my son being attacked there, she was the one that handed me Kleenex when I became emotional during the interview...she'd also been touching base with friends both her and I have that are still in shelters and the streets. 

This interview was made during the last Homeless gathering at Hemming Plaza, two days after my son was attacked there, and she was there the following night when she was there for me.

Normally it's not common for homeless advocates to get as long a period to be able to speak on exactly what they choose.  Susan did the best job I could imagine anyone in relating what homelessness in this community means...and all without cue cards.
